When Chiq put the ashes into the river, the water turned cloudy for a minute as Anna and Puppa swam downriver together. As the water became clear again, the rain stopped and the sun came out. Really.
It was beautiful. I love thinking of Anna going through the Sandy River, to the Columbia River then out into the Pacific. She must be everywhere now. I like her in Australia, scaring the sharks.
