I love all of these pics, but the one of Rrubah's major swagger, in her favorite rainbow skirt no less, is so classic.
I was flipping through reed magazine and saw the obituary and I have no words. I am numb. I have so many funny and inspiring memories of Anna. We were the same year and all but I looked up to her so much. I remember our self defense training at One with Heart. I remember piling through in the final days before our thesis was due. I remember being scared of Puppa and then proud of his tranformation into the sweetest dog. I remember lovebutt and dea. I remember visiting her at the house of rock. I remember this brave amazing woman. I remember meeting Ruby in 2001 ( I think it was 2001,I was in NYC for the holidays), it was the last time I saw Anna and I remember Anna playing with Ruby saying "how big is ruby" and ruby raised her arms high and anna said "so big". I have shared that memory with so many about how awesome women raise strong women, not knowing what happened just talking about my awesome friend Anna.
