Woo made a comment about me making good green bread.
Ruby said, "My mommy made good green bread."
Woo said, "Your mommy made the best green bread!"
I said, "She was the queen of green bread!"
Earlier in the day, as I was making the green bread, I said to Woo, "Where is she? Making green bread is her job!!"
(*Green bread is a kind of garlic bread made with scallions that Woo invented, but Anna perfected.)

Thanks for this post and the pics, Yummy. Anna did make such delicious green bread - I'm glad to hear that Ruby remembers this about her!
we made green bread on the west coast too, and I thought the same thing.
another xmas tradition was to eat leftovers( usually eggplant parmagiana and green bread, cold) for breakfast on xmas day during present opening.
I was thinking that without anna and I at xmas eve, there might not be any eggplant parm... or any vegetarian options... eeek! she would be horrified!
