Trans-Fat TV

Delicious but bad-for-you TV that Anna loved:

All My Children (fun fact: Anna won a raffle in 8th grade for a tour of the All My Kids set; I was lucky enough for her to choose me to go with her - or maybe it was during school hours and our parents were the only ones who would let us skip school to go to a soap set. Our big thrill was stumbling upon "Tad" as he was sleeping on a couch. We were in love!)
*see comments for more details...

Degrassi Junior High (fun fact: we bought the DVD set for Anna when she was sick; she called ecstatic after it was delivered. Possibly the best gift I've ever given her.)

21 Jump Street (fun fact: Anna "discovered" Johnny Depp and remained loyal to him for about 20 years.)

Veronica Mars (fun fact: A friend of mine is on the show and I got him to get the cast to send a card to her; he even got her a bootleg 1st season dvd before it was released.)

Anyone else know other of her secret TV passions? (add them below in the comments. Let's get this blog into a dialogue, people!)

Anna really did love some bad TV. She was a Real World junkie, in spite of the fact that she would get absolutely irate every time she watched it. She also liked a lot of bad, cheesy movies, and not even the campy kind, but I'm having trouble thinking of an example.

Wait Neenee was it all three of us at ALL MY CHILDREN?! I went too when she won those tix and she borrowed a dime from Tad to "make a phone call" and then taped it to her desk where she kept skin that the bitchy cat had scratched off her!! x Pau

ER, friends, ER. It was the only show we watched back in the day, well besides AMC. Anna thought it stunk a couple years ago, though, it was over. Wonder if she's be into the new John Stamos-led revival??

OK, I stand corrected - she loved MARTIN too! Remember Martin Lawrence's show?

Really Noah should write a post about how they saw The Blair Witch Project then went camping the next day - it's hard to remember how scary that movie was, but I think even Anna was totally freaked out in the woods... maybe Cynthia and Denk were there too??

Oh Paul, forgive me! How could I forget??? Of course you were there. This is why we need this blog - I would never have remembered a dime taped to her desk!

Yes, I can attest to ER, a guilty pleasure of my own. Not sure if John Stamos could lead the way out. And of course I remember Martin, and Shenana. She also loved Strangers with Candy for the two weeks that it aired.
